Design needs will vary based upon a project's complexity. In the case of a co-op, the requirements of the corporation, management and board may be as simple as a review or it may require the filing of documentation with the NYC Building Dept.
This can best be determined by speaking with your management company and by requesting a copy of the building's "Alteration Agreement". A project tends to require more processing when major plumbing or electrical fixtures might be relocated and when walls are being removed. However every building is different. In the case of semi-detached or fully attached homes, many projects also require filing; in either case we will be able to help determine this and plan accordingly.
An experienced consultant will come to your home to discuss the project including your family's needs and styles. After we agree on an approach, we will provide you with a detailed Workscope itemizing the work and the various options you've expressed interest in, including the costs.
Kitchens require computerized layouts to help us visualize proportions and maximize space. We create these with the help of the manufacturer's representative for the various cabinetry lines we offer. We will meet with them at your home to create the best layout for you.
When a client desires a lot of variety or radical change in their home, we will schedule an in-home consultation with an interior designer who is matched to your particular style (whether it’s traditional, eclectic, modern, minimalist, or another style)

When a project calls for radical change and/or requires an architect, we will provide a qualified and licensed architect according to your particular style. The architect can offer a design consultation, feasibility assessment or full scale drawings and Building Dept. approval. We work with a select group of architects when the focus is primarily residential renovation.
